The artist
painted this cover from an actual
photograph I gave him of my husband putting my skates on me when I when I was only 18 and he was 20. |
I met my husband,
Don, at an Ice Skating Rink He was an instructor and I just happened to (wink, wink!) fall down in front of him and he picked me up. He's been picking me up ever since! How's that for a romantic story! And true! |

Carlee Bennett is dedicated to three things: her Lord, her children, and the memory of her late, beloved husband. As co-owner of an ice rink in Kansas City, she is able to provide for her little family and has no need for a man in her life, especially one who does not share her beliefs. Dan Castleberry, star skater in an internationally famous ice show, has nearly reached the pinnacle of his career. He loves the excitement and travel it afford him and is interested in neither God nor a family. He's doing just fine the way things are. When Dan enters Carlee's rink, however, and the couple spends time working together, life begins to get complicated. Carlee has a family, and Dan has a career. But will these two obvious differences quench the budding love between them? "A lasting journey of faith!" "A lasting journey of faith!"
